Making ambient intent legible to agents.

01

We are building an ambient interface lab for human intent — so agents can act on what you mean, not only what you type.

Ambient intent means the signals your body sends — eye movement, muscle tension, neural patterns, and context — that reveal what you want to do before you say it.

Pre-verbal command lives in brain, gaze, muscle, context, and memory. Umbiance fuses those consented signals into a living intent profile.

That profile becomes campaign-ready action: reviewable agent loops across the software and systems you already trust.

Campaign-ready means your intent profile can drive always-on agent actions — not one-shot commands, but sustained workflows you can review and revoke at any time.

If successful, this is a new layer between people and machines — where thought becomes command without exposing inner dialogue.

Beliefs guiding our path to ambient intent.

02

At Umbiance, we believe the following:

Consented

Intentional signals you choose to share — neural, gaze, muscle, and app context — never raw thoughts.

Crafted

Fused into a digital intent profile that predicts the command behind the signal, without exposing inner dialogue.

Campaign-ready

Always-on, reviewable agent actions across the software and agents you already trust.

Ambient

Intent should move with you — no keyboards, no prompts, no friction between thought and action.

Human-first

Agents serve people. Every loop stays reviewable, reversible, and bounded by the human in charge.

Signal-native

We fuse brain, gaze, muscle, memory, and environment into one living model of what you mean.

Continual

Your intent profile learns and improves with every consented interaction — forever refining.

Focus

Ambient human intent

We wrote the following as our founding brief for Umbiance.

The world needs a place
where agents understand pre-verbal command —
brain, gaze, muscle, context, and memory —
without ever requiring a keyboard.

We have a unique window to build this layer:
consented signal fusion, living intent profiles,
and always-on agent loops that stay reviewable.

There will be real risk of failure
for a chance of something transformative —
software that finally moves at the speed of human intention.

Other interfaces will succeed without us:
chat, code, video, voice — all in good hands.
But ambient intent is our life's work,
where our hours create the greatest impact.

Achieving this requires a studio dedicated
to deep research and careful product craft —
without bending only to near-term demos.

We choose to open this window.

Join us on our ambitious mission.
